Charity Work
What is Charity?
Charity is when people give up something of their own in order to help someone else. Charity takes many forms. It can be to give money, resources or time.
Charity work at Leagrave Primary School is an important part of our school life. Pupils are eager to work as a team to plan, organise and participate in a variety of fund raising events, in order to support a range of charities.
Giving is not just about giving a donation. It is about making a difference.

Macmillan
Our recent sponsored spell raised £1468.64 for this charity.
Action Aid
We are currently working with Action Aid UK to give women and girls the future they want. We sponsor a young Gambian girl named Adama.
Foodbank
Our annual Year 3 harvest festival is focused on supporting our local food bank. Our school council collect donations and organise the distribution of these items.
Belize
Over the last few years we have worked to support underprivileged children in Belize.
Every summer we collect surplus books and other school resources from local schools which are then collected by a local Rotary Club. They are shipped free of charge by Ffyfes to Belize where the local Rotary club distribute them to schools in deprived towns and villages.
They are able to have prayer at the end of the day, they have a basketball club and they were so grateful
