Prefects
At Leagrave Primary School we value the contribution that our prefects make; they are a great support to teachers and pupils alike. Being a prefect is a prestigious role within the school, and only children in Year Six are able to fulfil the role. Their duties include:
- Lunch time support in the dining hall
- Fruit monitors for the whole school
- Corridor supervision
- Library monitors

These are all roles that are integral to the smooth, day- to- day running of the school, so it is important that we have prefects that are reliable, sensible and committed to their duties. The process:
- Children complete applications, stating their suitability for the role
- Year 6 teachers and the Senior Leadership Team meet to decide the successful candidates
- The successful pupils are awarded with their sashes at a whole school assembly
- Prefects complete daily duties and are rewarded with a treat for their dedication at the end of each half term
